ToggleIt’s always been a delight for hardcore wrestling fans to witness Sting in action on AEW Dynamite. They don’t know how many more such instances will occur on TV but next week’s episode will be one of those when the former WCW franchise player will step back into the ring, one more time.
As confirmed, Sting will team up with Darby Allin, AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy, and Keith Lee to take on Swerve Strickland’s Mogul Embassy faction during the June 4 episode of AEW Dynamite. This comes as an aftermath of how the legend had returned to AEW TV, last month.
AEW Dynamite: Women’s Title Match And Tag Team Match Booked For June 14 Episode
Sting returned on AEW TV, a week ago
On the May 31 episode of AEW Dynamite, the team of Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy got the win over two-thirds of the Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Team Champions, Kaun and Toa Liona, better known as Gates of Agony.
But the winners couldn’t enjoy their victory as Swerve Strickland and the rest of the Mogul Embassy surrounded Cassidy and Allin. As they look forward to giving the winners, a beatdown, this prompted Allin’s mentor and WWE Hall of Famer Sting, to come to the aid of the two babyfaces. The heels ultimately retreated from the ring to set up this upcoming match on AEW Dynamite.

Retirement plans for Sting in 2023
Sting (age 64) is possessing a 14-0 record in All Elite Wrestling and is planning to retire soon. During the Double or Nothing conference call, AEW President Tony Khan said that he plans on hosting a big event around Sting’s final match. He also added that it would most likely be the most exciting thing in the world of professional wrestling today.
Sting’s neck was injured during a 2015 WWE Championship match against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions and many believed that his wrestling career was over. However, the aged pro ultimately found enough strength to be back in the wrestling scene upon debuting on the very first AEW Dynamite Winter of Coming edition at the end of 2020.
