After weeks of drama unfolded on AEW Dynamite, the latest episode called for a championship changing hands. The Gunns previously cemented themselves as the top heels in AEW’s tag team division. After last night, the duo of Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn can call themselves to be the AEW World Tag Team Champions.
On the Championship Fight Night edition of AEW Dynamite, The Acclaimed (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) put their AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line against The Gunns in the main event capacity.

The Gunns become new champions
The closing moments of the match saw had referee knocked out due to the intensity of the match. Austin Gunn tried to take advantage of the situation by bringing the championship belt into the ring. Billy Gunn appeared to prevent his own flesh and blood from cheating but he was eventually taken out.
After this, Austin sent Bowens packed into a belt shot from Colten after which he caught him with a schoolboy roll-up for the pin and emerge as the new title-holders on AEW Dynamite.
Gunn Club and Acclaimed in a feud on AEW Dynamite
The Acclaimed and the formerly known Gunn Clubs have been involved in a storyline since last May when the two teams formed an alliance after Bowens was injured. They got split in July and soon after, The Acclaimed had become the champions. They defeated defeating Swerve in Our Glory for the tag titles at September’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam episode in New York City, the same one where Saraya made her debut in AEW.
Moving on, AEW Rampage will go down, this Friday night, and the match card for the show was announced on AEW Dynamite. The Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) will take on Kip Sabian and The Butcher/ The Blade in a tag match. The ‘Jungle Boy’ Jack Perry will be in action while Mark Briscoe will make an appearance on the show.
