Over the past few weeks, Renee Young was rumored to find her way back to the WWE as the company was interested in bringing her back. Being one of the most popular female pro-wrestling journalists, fans were also ecstatic about seeing her back on WWE programming. However, despite WWE’s reported interest in her, it was also noted that she herself wasn’t interested in returning to her previous employer.
It was certain that Renee Young would want to share Wednesday nights with her husband, Jon Moxley that came to a reality, last night. The latest episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS Network kicked off with Renee Young making her All Elite Wrestling debut as she interviewed Christian Cage and got a huge round of applause.

With that, all the speculations around Renee Young came to an end as she was officially announced as an employee of AEW after appearing on Dynamite. Under her real name Renee Paquette, she got the All Elite graphic from Tony Khan who tweeted the news. AEW Dynamite made its live debut in Paquette’s hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and it was the perfect place for her to show up on AEW TV.
Renee Young will be a part of AEW broadcast team
Although Paquette’s overall role in AEW is yet to be revealed, we believe she will be involved in broadcasting and interviewing purposes. In WWE, too, Renee Young was best known as a backstage interviewer. That role in AEW is currently handled by a list of individuals, including Tony Schiavone, Dasha Fuentes, Alex Marvez, Lexy Nair, and Mark Henry.
Starting in the year 2012, Paquette used the name Renee Young for on-air purposes until her departure in 2002. In addition to her role as a backstage interviewer, she also played the main host of the WWE Backstage show on FOX. She was also the first full-time female commentator for Raw which was a historic feat in her career. Since her departure from the company, she went back to using her real name for all the projects.
Renee Young started her own podcast series Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette (now called The Sessions with Renee Paquette) where she interviews a variety of guests from wrestling, MMA, and more. Additionally, she also released her own cookbook to add a new dimension to her career. Now, Renee has joined her husband Jon Moxley, and one of the very best friends in the industry, Saraya (fka Paige) in AEW.
