Renee Young is considered to be a pioneer female journalist in the world of professional wrestling. Ever since signing with the WWE in 2012, she has been featured in a variety of on-screen roles within the promotion. Her popularity and commitment to work even allowed her to become the first woman to become a permanent commentator on Monday Night Raw in 2018.
Moving on, she was assigned to do more interesting jobs as part of WWE when she hosted WWE Backstage on FOX. Once that was canceled amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Renee Young opted to leave the company as they were unable to provide her with better opportunities. This happened at SummerSlam 2020 after which she embraced motherhood and also started her own podcast called The Sessions.

Despite being away from wrestling since her WWE departure, rumors have recently been picking up that Renee Young could be heading to AEW. The main reason behind the move could be the fact that her husband Jon Moxley, the reigning AEW World Champion has extended his deal with the company for five more years.
Additionally, Renee Young’s best buddy, Saraya fka Paige in WWE has also been under contract with AEW for three more years. Also, reports from Fightful Select reveal that sources within WWE believe that the former commentator could be heading to AEW.

It was also noted that noted in the report that GiveMeSport’s Louis Dangoor heard that WWE had reached out to Renee Young about returning to the company but nothing fruitful has happened, possibly due to the fact that the former Total Divas star made up her mind to move to AEW,
“A WWE target could be heading to AEW, if they’ve heard correctly. Fightful was told by WWE sources on Friday night that they believe Renee Paquette is headed to All Elite Wrestling. Give Me Sport’s Louis has heard that WWE reached out to Renee about coming back to the company, which we’ve yet to confirm. Fightful reached out to Renee and AEW, who have not confirmed the move at all.”
Since leaving the WWE, Renee Young has published the cookbook “Messy In The Kitchen: My Guide to Eating Deliciously, Hosting Fabulously and Sipping Copiously” under her real name of Renee Paquette. She has also hosted podcasts with Miesha Tate named “Throwing Down With Renee & Miesha” before creating her own podcast “The Sessions with Renee Paquette.”
