Under the TV character of Paige, Saraya Jade Bevis had a tremendous career in WWE where she already established herself to be a pioneer. After enjoying a great start in her career on NXT and the main roster, her status and relationship with the WWE deteriorated, mainly due to her addiction problems and toxic relationship.
During that phase in 2016-17, Saraya had to endure a lot of difficulties in her life and all the adversities affected her physical well-being. The former WWE Superstar became unrecognizable at one point due to several personal reasons while being away from WWE TV. Thankfully, she did manage to come out a better person in that situation with the help of her close circle of friends and family.

Saraya thanked her family and friends for overcoming difficult times
Recently, Saraya took to her Instagram and revisited those troublesome days in her life. Reflecting on the recovery road from alcohol and addiction issues which does appear to be a major inspiration for many, the former anti-Diva thanked her family and friends. She also added before and after photos of herself along with the below comments,
“Yearly reminder of how grateful I am to not be in that place and state of mind again. I do not miss the feeling of how drugs and alcohol made me feel and I wake up every day in a beautiful home with my beautiful boyfriend, our zoo (haha) a beautiful family, and a beautiful small group of friends. I appreciate them all for sticking beside me and encouraging me to be the best version of myself.”
Even after overcoming the odds in real life, Saraya had to announce retirement from WWE in-ring competition in the year 2018 at the age of just 25 due to a fatal neck injury. Despite that retirement, the then-Paige featured in a variety of roles in WWE before the company finally let her go from their contract.
Setting yet another example, Saraya underwent neck surgeries to be back in competition after signing up with AEW in 2022. At that year’s AEW Full Gear event, she faced off against Britt Baker in her first match in over five years and also came out as the winner. Moving on, she went on to become a staple in the AEW Women’s Division.
