AEW Dynamite: Title Match; MJF Singles Return And More Announced

Top AEW wrestler MJF will return to singles competition during next week’s AEW Dynamite since this year’s Double or Nothing. In his fourth-only one-on-one match this year, one of the four pillars of AEW will compete against Wheeler Yuta of Blackpool Combat Club.

MJF vs. Yuta feud began on AEW Dynamite, last week when MJF interrupted an interview about his two fellow BCC stablemates – Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson facing off for the vacant AEW World Championship at All Out 2022.

MJF made fun of Yuta for lack of charisma after which MJF’s ally, The Firm stablemate, W. Morrisey choked out Yuta. Also, MJF struck him with his Dynamite Diamond Ring. Yuta then called out MJF for his actions on this week’s AEW Dynamite. MJF accepted Yuta’s challenge to set up the match on the September 5 edition set from Washington D.C. Later, Yuta and MJF also featured in a backstage brawl.

Next week’s AEW Dynamite will see MJF wrestle on TV for only the seventh time, this year after facing Shawn Dean on January 5, CM Punk on February 2, and then Shawn Dean again on April 13, against CM Punk at Revolution, Wardlow at Double or Nothing and then the Casino Ladder Match at All Out as a mystery opponent.
