All Elite Wrestling will present the final pay-per-view event of 2022 within two months from now in the form of AEW Full Gear 2022. Following All Out, the company was hoping to have two top champions to carry the load en route to the next stop in the line. However, with injuries and controversies hitting hard the company, the need of hitting the reset button is a must-needed thing.
Amid all the fallouts from this past Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view, the World Championship previously held by CM Punk has been vacated in hope of crowning a new world champion in time for AEW Full Gear 2022. The Elite’s AEW trios tag titles have also been vacated after which Death Triangle won those Championships on Dynamite.

Jon Moxley to become new champion before AEW Full Gear 2022
A tournament of champions is underway to crown a new AEW World Champion that’s being dubbed as AEW Grand Slam Champions Tournament. The semi-finals will take place next week on Dynamite where Chris Jericho will battle Bryan Danielson. Plus, Jon Moxley will face the winner of between Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara from Rampage. The finals will take place at the Grand Slam edition of Dynamite on September 21st.
After this, the angles for November’s Full Gear pay-per-view will start to shape up. Tony Khan generally chalks out the plans long before a special event but for this instance, renewal is needed. That being said, a new main event is reportedly in the works.
It appears that the creative plans call for Jon Moxley vs. MJF as the main event for AEW Full Gear 2022, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. The current belief is that Moxley will win the Grand Slam Tournament of Champions to become the three-time champion in AEW. On the other hand, MJF earned a contract to challenge the AEW World Champion by winning the Casino Ladder match at All Out.
Thus, the eventual showdown will automatically be set up for AEW Full Gear 2022. As of this writing, no match has been confirmed for the show that takes place Saturday, November 19th from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
