Matches for Ring of Honor will continue to take place on AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage until the owner Tony Khan grabs a television deal for his secondary promotion. Thus, tomorrow’s edition of AEW TV tapings will also feature a world title match from the ROH promotion. Alongside this, some more matches for the Friday show were also announced.
During Dynamite, last night, it was announced that ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli will put his title on the line against FTR’s Dax Harwood in the main event of AEW Rampage this week. The former WWE’s Swiss Superman’s last successful title defense came against Dustin Rhodes fka Goldust.

Castagnoli referred to his title as “the workhorse championship” which is defended across the world. That promo segment also included comments from Dax Harwood, one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions.
“I understand that coming into this match I’m not the odds-on favorite,” Harwood admitted on getting an opportunity on AEW Rampage. “I’m just a tag team guy, right? But I fight, every night, I fight! I fight with my heart and soul, and I fight for my family. If I lose this match, that’s you taking money out of my family’s bank account, and that’s just something I can’t have!”
Castagnoli was last seen in action during the Casino Ladder Match at 2022 All Out pay-per-view. He has had three successful title defenses since capturing the ROH World Championship from Jonathan Gresham at Death Before Dishonor on July 23 against Konosuke Takeshita, Dustin Rhodes, and Ari Daivari.
AEW Dynamite: New Trios Champion And ROH Pure Champion Crowned
Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin will go up against each other in the second round of the ongoing Grand Slam Tournament of Champions, this Friday on AEW Rampage. The winner of this match will be facing the former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on Dynamite next week.
