Ruby Soho has finally picked a side after weeks of turmoil continued surrounding the AEW Women’s World Championship heading into AEW Revolution 2023. Jamie Hayter may have successfully defended her belt at the latest bygone pay-per-view but her title run could seriously be in jeopardy given her adversaries are going strong.
The 27-year-old champion retained her title against Saraya and Ruby Soho in a triple threat at AEW Revolution 2023. She won the match via roll-up on Soho and thereby continued the title reign. Following the match, Saraya’s ally, Toni Storm entered the ring to deliver a beating on the champion and her ally Britt Baker.

This led the fans to think that Soho will make the save but she instead shocked the fans by turning on Hayter and Britt Baker, whom she was initially be-siding herself with heading into AEW Revolution 2023. Soho delivered a beatdown on the current and former AEW Women’s Champions. Afterward, Saraya took the title and posed with her current partners to end the segment.

AEW Revolution 2023: Jamie Hayter successfully defended her title
As we hope to see a new strong heel alliance unfold, AEW Revolution 2023 marked the second successful title defense for the champion since winning the belt at AEW Full Gear in November. Her previous title defense came against Hikaru Shida in December in San Antonio, Texas.
As for Soho, it was her second failed attempt at a title match for the AEW women’s title at AEW Revolution 2023, as she lost her first shot at the belt back in September against then-champion Baker. Saraya got her first opportunity at the AEW Women’s championship at last night’s PPV which also marked her first title match in almost seven long years.
In the other world title match set from last night’s AEW pay-per-view event, MJF defended the AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in an Iron Man Match. This was the first time that Bryan tapped out in a match in his AEW career. AEW trios tag team championships changed hands (House of Black) at AEW Revolution 2023 alongside the AEW TNT Title where Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe to become a two-time champion with the mid-card belt.
