The final slot in the multi-team tag title match set for AEW Revolution 2023 was decided during this week’s episode of Dynamite. Orange Cassidy and Danhausen took the fourth and final after Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Beretta) was ruled out of the Casino Tag Team Battle Royale to receive a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
The teams which got the chance to participate in this battle royal before AEW Revolution 2023 are as follows – Lucha Brothers, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin), RUSH and Perro Peligroso, The Butcher and The Blade, Aussie Open, 2point0, The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett), Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds), and Orange Cassidy and Danhausen.
Saraya Wants To See Former NXT Superstar On AEW Roster
As noted above, The match was originally supposed to feature Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta), but they weren’t medically cleared to compete as a result of an attack by The Gunns and Big Bill last week on Rampage. As a result, Orange Cassidy and Danhausen replaced Best Friends in the battle royale and ultimately secured the opportunity.
Following the win, Danhausen and Orange Cassidy will take on The Acclaimed, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, and reigning champions The Gunns in a fatal-4-way match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship set for AEW Revolution 2023 pay-per-view event this Sunday night.
The main event of AEW Revolution will see Bryan Danielson challenging MJF in a one-hour Iron Man Match for the world title. Former WWE Superstar Paige now known as Saraya will get her first title match opportunity in AEW on the same night.
