Being one of the annual four cornerstone pay-per-view events, AEW Revolution 2023 is scheduled in its usual timeslot of March. Exactly two months from now, the fourth iteration of the event will bring the best competition featuring the top AEW Superstars of the All Elite Wrestling promotion since the beginning. Tony Khan, the president of the company had previously announced the show while the potential main event was indicated during Dynamite.

In the latest episode of AEW’s flagship show, Bryan Danielson challenged Maxwell Jacob Friedman for the AEW World Championship at the AEW Revolution 2023 pay-per-view. The announcement came after Bryan’s match with Tony Nese on the January 4 episode of Dynamite which Bryan won. But he still had energy left to feature in another match.

MJF interrupted the session to have a verbal encounter with Bryan that led the latter to challenge the AEW World Champion to a title match. MJF agreed but with a catch that stated that Bryan will have to win a match every week between now and February 8 to become the number-one contender for the world title. In that case, Bryan will also get his title match under Bryan’s hand-picked stipulation, a 60-minute Iron Man Match at AEW Revolution 2023.

Top AEW Revolution 2023 feud started in late 2022

Bryan vs. MJF feud started with the AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming episode on December 14. On that night, MJF successfully defended his championship alongside his Dynamite Diamond Ring against Ricky Starks. MJF was thereafter confronted and chased back down the ramp by Bryan. The moment went on to create AEW merchandise and MJF wasn’t happy with it.

During last night’s AEW Revolution 2023 announcement, MJF verbally blasted MJF with the following comment,

“If Lance Storm & Dean Malenko were somehow able to have a child, it would still be more charismatic than you. Just because you look like a goat, it don’t make you the greatest of all time.”
