For most of the professional wrestling fans out there, Renee Paquette of AEW or Renee Young from WWE is the greatest broadcast journalist to have appeared on TV. Her ability to get along with the ongoing TV storylines and add more elements while interviewing the superstars always had been one-of-a-kind. WWE is surely deprived of her services while AEW is benefitting from her presence.
It’s hard to guess that Renee Paquette entered the world of professional wrestling more than a decade ago with zero experience in this industry in her arsenal. But with her capability to adapt to various situations, she not only learned quickly but also became a pro at her job.

Before becoming a familiar name in pro wrestling, Renee Paquette was originally intending to go Hollywood but soon after moving to Los Angeles, she was met with the harsh realities of real life.
Renee Paquette faced issues in LA after coming from Canada
Speaking in a recent interview with the Wilde On Podcast, the popular wrestling broadcaster opened up regarding that time when she first entered the USA at the age of just 19 with the aspirations of becoming a comedic actress. But without having a visa or green card, someone from Canada was bound to face issues.
“I had not even really worked very much prior to moving there. I had maybe done a couple music videos, maybe some commercials. I didn’t really have like a resume to speak for, so I just very blindly moved to Los Angeles being like, ‘Well, if you want to be in this world, that’s where you have to go to do it.'”
“I just kind of like packed up and moved out there,” Renee Paquette stated, “but you quickly get met with the harsh realities of, it’s not just packing up and moving there, especially as a Canadian. I didn’t have a work visa. I didn’t have a green card. I had nothing. I couldn’t work.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)
Renee Paquette started working at The Mint bar, where she was offered a job. She only made about $50 a night there and after some time, she packed up and headed back home to Toronto, Ontario, Canada where her efforts were noticed. After working as a small-scale journalist, she eventually auditioned for the WWE and got selected which altered her life.
