Tay Melo experienced big successes in her professional wrestling career since jumping ship to the All Elite Wrestling promotion from the WWE. She was also able to fulfill her dream to become a champion with her husband Sammy Guevera and now they’re focused on expanding their family.
Expecting their first child, Tay Melo is on a hiatus from AEW TV, and in the meantime, she threw shade at her father and all the fathers out there in the world who chose to abandon their kids.

In the co-main event of last night’s UFC 290 pay-per-view, Alexandre Pantoja defeated Brandon Moreno via Split Decision in a 5-round fight to win the UFC Flyweight (125 lbs) Championship. During the post-fight interview, Pantoja said his mother is the one to bring him up with his brothers. He also looked at the camera to say the following,
“Are you proud of me, dad? Are you proud of me now?”
Mimicking the same line, Tay Melo noted on Twitter that she was abandoned by her father too by stating the below words,
“Are you proud of me now dad? A big F**K YOU for all the ‘dads’ that abandoned his kids. I can relate!! But I’m lucky I have the best step dad ever!!!”

Interestingly, one of the wrestling fans replied to her comment and noted how Tay Melo herself decided not to have her first child in the first place, “You abandoned that little girl in Brazil, this is your second child, why are you trying to hide it??”
In reply, the AEW star had the following to offer, “Lol the things y’all make up are so funny. Oh no, you found out the truth, I’m so scared now.”
In early June, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo officially announced that they were expecting a baby girl in a gender-reveal video on Guevara’s YouTube channel. Before that, the couple already revealed during the AEW Double or Nothing weekend about the pregnancy news.
This was followed by a clip of the moment when the lovely couple found out about having a baby girl. They officially tied the knot in August 2022 and are now all set to become parents in December of this year.
