One of the top superstars of Monday Night Raw, Alexa Bliss has been absent from TV for almost a month now. She’s likely making a comeback to in-ring competition as per a tease on social media. Plus, The Goddess persona may be returning after a hiatus of almost two long years.
As noted, Alexa Bliss has been off WWE TV since coming up short against RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a title match at last month’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view. On that night, Flair brutally ripped and tore apart her doll, Lilly which was a storyline angle to write the twisted goddess off WWE television.
Now, Alexa Bliss has tweeted out a GIF that shows her undergoing several character transformations throughout her career. The WWE Universe has since been buzzing about this being a hint that Bliss could possibly be leaving her dark persona and bring back her old character once she comes back on TV. With the extinction of the Lilly character at Extreme Rules, fans do believe the gimmick change for Bliss is evident to happen.

Alexa Bliss was set to have a surgery
Following her loss to Charlotte at the September PPV event, Wrestling Inc reported that Alexa Bliss was taking time off from WWE. Then PWInsider added that the five-time Women’s Champion was scheduled to undergo sinus surgery soon while no timetable was provided regarding her return to WWE TV.
Charlotte Flair also cut a promo on Alexa Bliss following her title retention about the comeback of the old Goddess persona by saying the following words,
“The Alexa I faced tonight was the old Alexa. It was the Alexa I saw when she held the RAW Women’s Championship multiple times. Tonight, she fought me and faced me. Yes, I’m still the Queen, but that’s the Lexi we all want to see. I don’t want to hear about Lilly.”
“Ripping up Lilly was a wakeup call. A wakeup call to remind her that she’s still a champion at heart.”
It is likely that Alexa Bliss won’t be off Raw television for much longer as she was included in the Draft 2021 where she was selected by the red brand, unlike Bayley or Asuka who are also within a hiatus. So, the bonafide champion should return on Raw, sooner than later as the 30th season of the show kicks off, next week.
