After what transpired at Extreme Rules 2022, it was supposed that the feud between Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will continue. However, it appears that the challenger won’t be showing up on Raw, any time soon. The angle of her favorite Lilly doll being destroyed was done to write her out of the storyline perspective on Monday Night Raw.

As noted above, Alexa Bliss faced Charlotte Flair at Extreme Rules 2021 for the latter’s WWE Raw Women’s Championship and that match did not end in the challenger’s favor. Following a loss through the Natural Selection, Bliss received a beatdown from Flair and she was also tossed over the announce table. Afterward, The Queen ripped Lilly doll to shreds, leaving The Twisted Goddess in tears in the middle of the ring.

The set of actions were reportedly done to build the set-up for a future absence of Alexa Bliss. According to the reports from Wrestling Inc, the five-time women’s champion might be out of action for a while. That Extreme Rules angle where Lilly was murdered, was meant to be “a wakeup call to remind [Bliss] that she’s still a champion at heart.”

Perhaps, Alexa Bliss will finally be out of this dark power-possession when she eventually returns to get back her Goddess persona. However, at this point, it’s uncertain how long she will be kept off TV. The source noted ‘a few months’ regarding her absence which indicates that the top superstar will miss the Draft 2021 edition.

In the meantime, fans were upset about WWE’s booking towards Alexa Bliss in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio. They certainly didn’t appreciate the beatdown treatment. In the process, Charlotte Flair gained a ton of heel heat. In a post-match interview, she revealed the reason for destroying the Lilly doll,

“The Alexa I faced was the old Alexa. It was the Alexa I saw when she held the RAW Women’s Championship multiple times. [Sunday], she fought me and faced me. Yes, I’m still the Queen, but that’s the Lexi we all want to see. I don’t want to hear about Lilly. Ripping up Lilly was a wakeup call. A wakeup call to remind her that she’s still a champion at heart.”
