Ahead of All Out 2023, the speculation was that CM Punk would be the headliner since the event is scheduled from his hometown of Chicago. In a dramatic circumstance, he’s not even around in the company for the show after getting suspended as a result of a backstage altercation at the latest bygone All In pay-per-view, this past weekend.

AEW President Tony Khan brought back CM Punk to All Elite Wrestling this summer and made him the poster figure of the Collision show. However, things did not get better for the company even Punk and his former adversaries The Elite were kept on different shows.

AEW All Out 2023: WWE Legend To Come Out Of Retirement In His 70s?

The “Real” AEW World Champion and Jungle Boy Jack Perry repeatedly got into a fight backstage at AEW All In after Perry took a shot at Punk during the Zero Hour of the PPV. This fight reportedly happened in front of Tony Khan himself, and he was almost hurt during the confrontation. As a consequence, both talents were suspended from AEW just before the All Out 2023 PPV set for this weekend.

According to Fightful Select, AEW had plans for CM Punk to defend the “Real” AEW World Championship against Ricky Starks in the main event of All Out 2023 before his suspension. That match is now scrapped and Starks could be competing against the WWE Hall of Famer Rickey The Dragon Steamboat if the veteran accepts a challenge during this week’s Collision.

CM Punk’s relationship deteriorated with AEW ahead of All Out 2023

While All Lite Wrestling never gave an official statement on the bygone incident from All In, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer broke the news that AEW suspended Punk and Perry. The incident involving the two wrestlers at All In is being investigated, which means that both of them will miss the All Out 2023 pay-per-view in Chicago this Sunday.

In more updates from PWTorch, CM Punk’s relationship with Tony Khan might be getting to the “beyond repair” point as we head toward All Out 2023 after what happened at All In. The former WWE Champion was already upset about not being picked up from the airport by any representative from AEW. He wasn’t aware of the fact that no talent was picked up from the airport in the first place on behalf of the company.

A frustrated Punk also confronted Khan in front of other people and then in his own locker room at All In. According to the report, things got heated between the two and Punk threatened to quit AEW with harsh words. That being said, chances are dead that we could eventually witness the former Straight Edge Leader at All Out 2023.
