AEW World heavyweight Championship wasn’t on the line during the All Out 2023 pay-per-view event that went down last night. Instead, the world champion MJF was set to defend his tag team titles alongside his tag team partner Adam Cole. It was after that match another champion got involved in a brawl to indicate that he was coming after MJF and his title.

In the opening contest of All Out 2023, MJF and Adam Cole retained the ROH World Tag Team Championships which they had initially captured at last weekend’s AEW All In. The team also known as Better Than You Bay Bay was successful in their first title defense against the Dark Order.

MJF and Samoa Joe got into a brawl at All Out 2023

There was a point when Alex Reynolds and John Silver of Dark Order were in control of the match after hitting their signature double clothesline. Afterward, MJF was taken to the back due to a kayfabe neck injury, leaving Cole alone to fight off Dark Order. However, MJF eventually returned to the match and got the hot tag to pick up the win in favor of his team at All Out 2023.

As Cole and MJF were making their way to the back, Samoa Joe’s music hit the arena as the ROH TV Champion came out to the ring for his match against Shane Taylor at All Out 2023. During his entrance, Joe shoved MJF on his way to the ring.

The AEW World Champion was unhappy with this and he ran back to the ring to attack the former WWE Superstar. Thereafter, the security guards had to get involved to separate the duo. This angle essentially set up a future feud between the two.

Heading into All Out 2023, Dark Order won the opportunity to challenge for the titles by winning a tag team battle royal on Friday’s AEW Rampage edition. Roderick Strong and The Kingdom members, Matt Taven and Mike Bennett were involved in an angle with Cole but they never made an appearance during or after the tag team title match at the PPV. Previously, they got involved in a heated promo segment with Cole on the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite.

For the time being, MJF and Cole remain the reigning tag champions but now that All Out 2023 is over, The Kingdom could be coming after the tag titles. Besides, MJF should be prepping up for his next title defense against Joe.
