Recently, the former WWE Smackdown Women’s champion Carmella expressed her disappointment on the fact that there are not enough women’s matches booked for WrestleMania 37. She also revealed her excitement for Asuka heading into WrestleMania 37 as the Women’s champion. She also expressed her happiness for Sasha Banka, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley.

Carmella appeared on a recent episode of WWE Bump where she expressed all these feelings on screen. She said,

Analytical View on The Thought Of Carmella

“As of right now there’s only two women’s matches announced. I want there to be another women’s matches,” Carmella said. “I think there should be more women on the show. The women are where it’s at. We are taking over.

“As happy as I am for Asuka and Rhea and Bianca and Sasha; I’m very excited for Sasha and Bianca. But I just, I feel there should be more women involved. We’ve worked very hard. And we didn’t come just to only come this far. Even if it’s not myself. I’d love to be involved in WrestleMania. But either way, I want to see more women on this show.”

Carmella’s disappointment is pretty obvious. WWE is marketing women’s revolution as a big thing. Well, it is indeed a very big thing. But is it as big as they try to show?

The women’s revolution is said to have started from WrestleMania 32 when Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks squared off against each other to crown the inaugural WWE Women’s champion. The women in WWE have moved pretty far since then. They are not just an object anymore, they are legit wrestlers.

Sasha Banks once said it during a training session, ‘We are not divas anymore, we are woman wrestlers.’ Fans loved it when she said that. This is pretty much true. Just two years ago, women have main evented WrestleMania as well. Something that no one could even dream of twenty years ago.

But something is still missing in this revolutionized women’s division. They are not receiving any of title feuds for the ‘Grandest Stage of them All.’ If you see the recent history of WrestleMania since the much-talked women’s revolution took place, you will not see any good non-title women’s feud heading into WrestleMania.

Of course, there is a women’s battle royal but it is similar to the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal which is pretty much useless. Women in WWE need to be given better non-title storylines. The day it happens, we can only consider the women’s revolution has reached the height of perfection.
