For those who don’t know, former WWE Superstar Santino Marella’s daughter works for the WWE by the name of Arianna Grace for the NXT banner. After debuting in the developmental territory, her progress was halted due to an injury. After a long wait, the process of getting back into the ring has finally started and we can hope to see her on TV shortly.
Arianna Grace has been out of action after tearing an ACL and meniscus in her knee last October. The young talent needed to undergo subsequent undergo surgery to fix the injury. The recovery time for this kind of injury ranges from 9 to 12 months for most athletes. Santino Marella, noted in an interview last November that his daughter was “hopeful for a spring return to the ring.”

While that timespan has already been gone, Arianna Grace could be eying for a return by the end of 2023. In her tweet, she revealed of beginning in-ring training sessions, that’s taking bumps in the ring again for the first time in a long time. There’s an obvious excitement for the process but she also mentioned feeling sore after getting back to the ring,
“Bumped in the ring today for my first time in sooooo long — wrestlers you know how I’m feeling — excited as anything & sore!”
Arianna Grace suffered an injury in the early phase of her WWE career
Arianna Grace’s injury came at a time when she was just starting to find her foothold on WWE NXT television. Being one of the organic babyfaces of the brand, fans were disappointed with her sudden injury and then subsequent removal from TV. However, the specific timeframe for her full return to in-ring competition was never addressed by the WWE.
Before the injury, Arianna Grace had quite a few appearances on WWE NXT and WWE NXT Level Up since joining WWE as part of the 2022 WWE Performance Center class recruit that also included other names on NXT like Roxanne Perez and the former “2 Dimes” Troy Donovan. WWE also included her in the 2022 NXT Breakout Tournament but she was eliminated in the first round by Nikkita Lyons.
Away from the WWE, Arianna Grace also informed her fans to root for her as she participated in the Miss Universe Canada contest. As she hopes to be successful in the attempt, she’s also re-focusing on her WWE career.
