For quite sometimes, rumors have been pretty rife about Melina finding her way back to the WWE. She is one of the most athletically gifted female wrestlers in the history of this business who had dominant runs with championships, as well. Hence, fans must have been excited to see her squaring off with some of this generation’s superstars. But before that, the much-anticipated return will have to happen.
Melina reportedly signed with WWE, but she has denied the report. But a reliable source confirms that her name is being discussed, backstage. Also, Natalya recently teased that she was training with someone, but she didn’t tell the fans who her training partner was. Ronda Rousey can also be a candidate in this spot as she is another candidate to make a surprise return, at some point. This is what Natalya has offered,
“Finished a wrestling practice in our ring… @TJWilson ran our practice with “Dr Tom” @drtomprichard man in the middle drills. Forgot how much I love/hate those drills! So much fun … wish I could tell you who i trained with!!”
Backstage Update On Former Champion Melina Coming Back To WWE
Ringside News is reporting that Melina’s name has been coming up, backstage. A tenured member of the creative team confirmed that her name was not previously mentioned as WWE feared that perhaps the return could’ve been spoiled. But that stance among the creative team members has been changed, recently.
WWE Wants Melina’s Return To Be Top Secret Within The Company
They are apparently trying to pitch ideas about how to use Melina, but no concrete idea is available, a couple of days ago. Things can definitely change in the WWE as per the wish of Vince McMahon. WWE Draft is coming back with the 2020 edition, starting from this Friday night and we can expect that the former champion could be a surprise during that show, either on Smackdown or Raw.
Melina previously took to her Facebook page to address the online reports doing regarding her comeback. As per her comments, she has not signed a deal with the company but that doesn’t mean that she won’t do the same in the future.
“I AM NOT signed with the WWE. But that doesn’t mean it is not a possibility. My reason for this post is that it bothers me that these sites lie to fans. If I potentially get signed, don’t forgive them for lying to you. I know there are those that aren’t a fan of mine, but I still will care about them as I do my own fans. I don’t like when people lie to you and/or bring your hopes up.
You deserve better than that. YOU should demand better than that. They think it’s ok to pull these stunts because you’ll still follow or click that link. You should follow sites that don’t treat you like you’re stupid and do not lie to you. It seems like a lot of wrestling news sites do that though.”
