Warner Bros. Pictures and Mattel Films have joined forces to produce the first live-action film based on the iconic Barbie doll. Barbie movie has been in the theatres before but those have always been in an animated version until the latest installment which also have a former WWE franchise player in a meatier role.
John Cena is that name in the concerned name who is obsessed with a mermaid Barbie character in the Barbie movie. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling star in the flick as Barbie and Ken. The ensemble cast includes Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman, and Kate McKinnon.
There are some hurdles in the Barbie movie’s international screenings. According to the reports of Deadline, Vietnam has banned the film from commercial screenings due to a scene that showed geographic issues faced by the country. The Philippines was also hesitant to consider whether to grant a permit for the movie to be shown on their soil.
