Bayley already had a tremendous rivalry with Bianca Belair in the early going of 2021. In fact, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion helped her former opponent to put over in the biggest way possible en route to her Royal Rumble win. Now that she approaches the mega match in her career, perhaps another collision awaits between these two superstars.
Apparently, Bayley wishes to face Bianca Belair, the challenger for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37, in a rematch. This time around, the former champion wants this to be contested under a gimmick that is inside a steel cage. No response was received from her potential opponent whose tweet worked as an inducer for this setup.
Wrestlemania 37: Contradictory Reports On WWE Planning Full Match Card
Bianca Belair shared a backstage photo from last week’s SmackDown where Bayley was wearing one of her shirts. She wrote, “Look who I caught wearing my shirt last week at #Smackdown…Your one and only Role Model! Be like Bayley. Do like Bayley. (This time), Oh, and I miss you too @itsBayleyWWE.”

In the response, Bayley tweeted, “@WWE Me vs Bianca in a cage match before Wrestlemania. Thank you.” WWE didn’t respond to the tweet while this match could take place to establish Belair as a brute force before she heads to the title match against Sasha Banks.

Bianca Belair set for huge Wrestlemania match
As mentioned above, Bianca Belair and Bayley had a brief feud in the lead-up to this year’s Royal Rumble. The EST of WWE defeated The Role Model via pinfall just two nights before winning the 30-woman over-the-top-rope melee to punch her ticket to WrestleMania 37. We only wonder whether the story would repeat before WrestleMania 37.
Interestingly though, Bianca Belair will team up with Sasha Banks next Sunday at WWE Fastlane as they challenge Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, before the WrestleMania encounter.
While speaking on Talking Smack, Bianca Belair explained to the panel why she chose Banks as her opponent instead of RAW Women’s Champion Asuka.
“To be going to WrestleMania and facing Sasha Banks — standing in the ring with Sasha Banks — made making that decision so real for me. I don’t know if people could tell, but I was shaking because of how excited I was … The moment isn’t just about us. It’s about everybody and what it’s going to represent.”
