Things did change in a big way for Becky Lynch on the Raw roster following SummerSlam 2022. Not only she was ruled out of action, owing to a sudden injury but also she opted to switch back to her previous ‘THE MAN’ character that will be back in a full-fledged way on WWE TV, down the road. For the time being, Ronda Rousey will also be kept out of the scene in WWE and when she comes back, she will be a villain on TV.
PWInsider has reported that Becky Lynch’s babyface turn at Summerslam 2022 was indeed official, as she is currently listed as the number-two babyface on the Raw roster behind the Women’s Champion, Bianca Belair. She lost her title match opportunity at Summerslam and decided to have a reconciliation with the champion by hugging it out with her in the middle of the ring.

After that, Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky would make their return to the WWE and target Belair for an attack. Becky Lynch would provide backup to the current Women’s Champion, sending Bayley, Kai, and Sky for a retreat.
Becky Lynch then appeared on Monday Night Raw August 1 episode with her arm in a sling and cut an interesting promo to solidify her babyface turn. She started by saying that she remembered who she was once again at SummerSlam. Then she confirmed her separated shoulder which never forced her to give up on herself and the fans but rather continue with it for 16 minutes.

After this promo, Bianca Belair also came out to seal the babyface turn by giving her a hug. Bayley and her buddies were then shown backstage as they launched an assault on Big Time Becks. After what transpired, Becky Lynch will now be sidelined with a separated shoulder. She is expected to be out of action for several months, according to WWE’s social media but while coming back she will be THE MAN, a babyface.
Speaking of Becky Lynch’s character change, another superstar who went through a similar change was Ronda Rousey. The source noted that Rousey is currently listed as the top babyface on the Smackdown roster. But things will soon be changed when she shows up next on WWE TV. She acted in a reckless manner after coming up short at Summerslam to indicate a heel turn.
Rousey lost her Smackdown Women’s Championship Match to the reigning champion Liv Morgan after a controversial decision taken by the official. This forced Rousey to punish Morgan and the respective official with armbar submissions. Rousey also showed similar ruthless aggression on the July 29 edition of Smackdown by shutting up a fan and then taking out Shotzi with a Piper’s Pit.
