Given that they started WWE almost in the same phase, the bond between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair was unbreakable at one point. Be it on or off-screen, the two were inseparable and WWE even used their friendship for storyline purposes irrespective of the fact that they have also been bitter rivals.

It was their arrival on the main roster of the WWE that people learned to witness technical wrestling even from the women’s side which never happened to be the case in the WWE before that. Rivalries have always been a crucial component of professional wrestling which was redefined in the WWE female roster with the likes of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

Gradually, their rivalry took over their friendship and the two started growing bad blood with each other. In her latest book, “Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Girl,” the multi-time women’s champion delved into her relationship with the genetically superior athlete from her perspective, and shed further light on their fallout and the reconciliation process.

Becky Lynch realized life’s too short for holding grudges with one another

The topic was further elaborated during a recent interview with Adam Silverstein on the Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast. While discussing her friendship and her current standing with Flair, Becky Lynch expressed that despite their past issues, they’ve tried to go through the hard times. This happened after the passing of Bray Wyatt or the former Wyatt family member Luke Harper,

“We’ve seen the tragic passing of people that went far too young, like Bray Wyatt, like Luke Harper, and other friends who passed away that were very close to me in the last few months too, and so all of those things I think as you grow and mature you realize that these petty differences aren’t worth the toxicity it leaves in you and the weight that it carries.”

Over the years, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair had some memorable matches and segments. Some of the reports claimed that Flair wasn’t that fond of her contemporary’s rise in the WWE after 2018. The infamous Championship swapping segment in 2021 even proved that on live TV. But just weeks later, these two went to produce a big Champion vs. Champion match at Survivor Series 2021 like true professionals.
