Over the course of the past few years in the WWE, the rivalry between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey has been one of the bitter ones from the female roster. Despite the fact, the two have not been able to feature in a singles bout on TV, ever and the speculation was that WWE was holding it back to happen at Wrestlemania 39.
However, it has been reported in recent times that the former WWE Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is no longer scheduled to face Ronda Rousey in their much-anticipated singles match at WrestleMania 39. This happened after Charlotte Flair returned and defeated Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship on last Friday’s SmackDown. Thereby the previously rumored blue brand women’s title match was scrapped.

Triple H decided to change Wrestlemania plans
Xero News was the source to report that Triple H decided to book Charlotte to win the SmackDown Women’s Title as most of the WrestleMania 39 match card got leaked (where Flair was scheduled to face Bianca Belair for the RAW Women’s Championship and Becky Lynch was scheduled to face Ronda Roussey for the Smackdown Women’s Championship). Hence, Triple H wanted to shake things up heading into WrestleMania season:
“Triple H was the one who decided on Charlotte dethroning Rousey on SmackDown as he wanted to shake up the WrestleMania plans as everything had been getting leaked online and WWE had taken notice.”
Becky Lynch didn’t want a predictable matchup at Wrestlemania
In more update, Xero News added that Becky Lynch is the one who requested Triple H to cancel her match with Rousey. While no particular reason was declared by the source, the expected and lackluster build for the match on the Road to Wrestlemania could have rejected the matchup,
“Triple H wants his first WrestleMania to be really good and to have an amazing build, not lackluster that everyone just expects.
It also helped Becky Lynch was the main one saying she felt like a headline match with Ronda Rousey had lost its luster hence the changes as well.”
Since her return in November, Becky Lynch remains one of the mainstay figures on Monday Night Raw, each week. Prior to competing in the Survivor Series WarGames Match, she was on the shelf for four months due to an unfortunate shoulder injury that occurred during her title match against Bianca Belair at Summerslam in August. Then she made a triumphant return and also had a lot of appreciation for coming back to the WWE.
