Becky Lynch is one of the top superstars that WWE has to offer in the modern generation, irrespective of the male and female rosters. She has upped her stocks to an unthinkable level that in turn broke down many barriers for the women superstars in the WWE. With her given stature, it’s certain that she’s in a position to demand for an event from WWE in her homeland.
Recently, Zelina Vega got an immensely positive reaction while performing in Puerto Rico at the Backlash premium live event. Now, Becky Lynch seems to be ecstatic with the prospect of WWE bringing a major Premium Live Event to Ireland which is her home country. Sheamus and Finn Balor also belong to that region and they should also be loving the idea.

Becky Lynch proud to represent Ireland in the WWE
The six-time Women’s Champion in the WWE was a guest on Mark Andrews’ My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast. Andrews had received a record number of listener questions for the top WWE Superstar. On the show, Becky Lynch went into detail about the Irish wrestling scene, which has produced some legendary names. She also seemed to be extremely proud to have represented the Irish culture in the WWE,
“So proud,” Becky Lynch stated. “We didn’t really have anything, at least not that I was aware of, growing up, there was nothing. So we’re talking.. this all started 21 years ago, to have at least five major stars in WWE that all came from that little Irish scene, we’ve got Sheamus, we’ve got Finn, we’ve got myself and now we’ve got Jordan [JD McDonagh], we’ve got Lyra Valkyrie, who is just phenomenal and is going to be a huge star in the future.”

Becky Lynch pushing WWE officials for a PLE in her country
Following the success of Backlash from San Juan, Puerto Rico, WWE fans and Superstars are indeed hoping to get more ‘International’ events on the calendar. From that perspective, the host asked if we could see a major WWE show in Ireland. In response, Becky Lynch revealed she’s already spoken with WWE about it and submitted a venue that she had in mind,
“We were just talking about that, yes, I gave the venue and all, the RDS, we can have one. I don’t know that we have the population to sustain it, but I think when you’ve got the UK and Europe so close, then absolutely.”
Time will tell whether WWE hosts a bigger PLE in Ireland. In the meantime, the native superstars of this country will soon get to perform in untelevised live events in the UK in 2024 summer. A PLE from Germany has also been announced in the form of Bash in Berline for late August. It’s certain that a top star like Becky Lynch will play a pivotal role in it.
