WWE is hyping things up for WrestleMania 40 and that includes the monumental matchup set between Becky Lynch and Rhea Ripley. The two couldn’t keep themselves from getting into a fight. Eventually, it happened twice within the course of the last 24 hours.
Over on this week’s Raw, Becky Lynch made an appearance for a promo session but the Women’s World Champion was out to ruin her party. Despite the security guards protecting the two being separated, Ripley took some of them out and headed into the ring to get her hands on her WrestleMania 40 opponent. The two had to be contained with more guards those were out.

This brawl came as an aftermath of what went down during Rhea Ripley’s notable appearance on The MMA Hour. The champion was quick to blast Becky Lynch and further expressed her desire to face “The Man” version of her opponent at WrestleMania, rather than the current persona that includes her role as a mother, wife, and author.
“I don’t want mom Becky Lynch. I don’t want the mother, I don’t want the wife, I don’t want the book writer Becky. I want The Man,” Ripley stated on the show.

Becky Lynch made an unexpected appearance on the sets shortly after Ripley made those comments, leading to a heated confrontation between the two of them. Things escalated quickly between the two of them and the two had to be pulled apart. But they were right back at it on Raw to give us a preview of what to expect at Wrestlemania XL.
Helwani expressed his surprise and apologized to Ripley, acknowledging the unexpected turn of events. “I did not know that was going to happen, I apologize. You may not want to come back here again but thank you for not breaking our set,” Helwani remarked to Ripley.
In addition to the intense exchange, Ripley also disclosed during the interview that she has been dealing with a wrist injury as of late. This was the reason that Becky Lynch made her intention clear on X following the confrontation and that’s to target her arms, “Thanks for giving me a target, Mami. I’m coming for your arm and the #WomensWorldTitle at WrestleMANia.”
