Becky Lynch has been the cornerstone figure of WWE’s women’s division. She may not have been given a chance, right away to steal the show but in the end, some may feel that she was the one to produce the most impact. After all, winning the WrestleMania main-event is something that no one has done it, other than her.
The female superstars fought hard to be noticed through Give Divas A Chance trend back in the days. Now they have Superstars. But when Becky Lynch started calling herself “The Man,” it apparently wasn’t taken well by some of her colleagues. Although the moniker has now become a cult, the initial reactions from the locker room weren’t that good.

Becky Lynch: Stars Had Issues With WWE Naming Her The Man
While speaking to Digital Spy, WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon brought up Becky Lynch and her famous nickname. She said that some women in WWE had an issue with The Man gimmick. Of course, the concerned superstar ended up enjoying a successful stint with it, making tons of money, and becoming the most-talked superstar in the process.

Here’s more of the comments from Stephanie about Becky Lynch,
“(‘The Man) really was her idea. It’s funny because some women were very against it like, ‘Why do you have to call yourself the man? Why can’t you be The Woman.’ But she just didn’t take it, you know, too literally. The whole point was to turn that nomenclature on its ear, right, because everyone says, ‘oh the biggest, the most successful person in the room is The Man. Well, why can’t The Man be a woman?”
The next time we will be seeing The Man, she’d likely to be The Mom and WWE has even tried to put in on her merchandise already. Being away from the ring isn’t an easy task for a star like her especially as she is determined to make a valiant comeback. When she comes back, it’s certain that she will still be rocking The Man gimmick just like the way she left the stage.
While staying away from WWE, Becky Lynch is apparently gearing herself to be a future writer, going by the recent updates from Twitter. She posted a picture of her laptop hinting that she’s busy in some writing works as her potential Hollywood projects are canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic. But that’s certainly not enough to stop her from getting into another new venture.
