Born as Catherine Joy Perry, Lana was brought up in Gainesville, Florida, United States but at the same time, she had spent a lot of her childhood in Russia. After returning to the US, she was trained in dancing and started her career as a dancer and later pursued a modeling career in Los Angeles, California.

After appearing in some music videos as a dancer for names like Akon, Rich Boy, Pink, Usher etc. she made it to the Hollywood. Her name appeared in the title card in the films like Pitch Perfect 1 and 2, Big time beach party, Souls etc. Recently she was announced in WWE studios production Interrogation alongside WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

In WWE, she started her career as a manager of The Bulgarian Brute Rusev. The Duo saw quite a success as an anti-American gimmick which reached a high note after Rusev held the US title nearly six months. Lana would then move on to manage Dolph Ziggler as part of WWE storyline.

In real life, Lana is engaged with Rusev for quite sometimes now and even announced it over the Internet while sharing screen-space alongside Dolph Ziggler. After her recent injury, she returned to WWE only two weeks ago with his soon-to-be husband Rusev, after they mutually decided to get on the same page, much to the delight of the WWE fans.
