Back in 2002, “The Next Big Thing” Brock Lesnar arrived and conquered the-then franchise player of the WWE, The Rock at Summerslam. Since then, this particular summer event has been the playground for The Beast of the WWE and it’s safe to give him the crown of Mr. Summerslam even after considering the likes of Bret “The Hitman” Hart, WWE Hall of Famers Triple H, and The Undertaker, and even the undisputed WWE universal champion, Roman Reigns.
Decimating one of the most protected characters in the WWE, The Rock marked the beginning of Brock Lesnar’s reign of terror when he was just 25 years old. This win not only destroyed and wrote off the franchise player of the WWE from wrestling but also marked the beginning of a long-lasting domination of The Beast.
Brock Lesnar did leave the WWE quickly in 2004 but after returning in 2012, he again made his presence felt at Summerslam of that year against another legend in Triple H. Besides tapping out The Game, he also broke the latter’s hand to make a bold statement, a year later, CM Punk became his next victim despite all his efforts.

Brock Lesnar created an unmatched legacy at Summerslam
In 2014, the defining moment of Brock Lesnar’s career took place when he defeated another WWE franchise player, John Cena. Winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after 11 years was just another prize for him as he was rather focused on bringing the Suplex City to the WWE by pummeling Cena with a plethora of German Suplexes and F5s in a never-before-seen one-sided contest.
Next year, Brock Lesnar lost to The Undertaker but he never tapped out to the chokehold submission of The Deadman. In 2016, The Conqueror was again unleashed in the main event as he TKO-ed Randy Orton. The win literally didn’t matter there much as he left Orton lying in a pile of blood in the ring, creating a disturbing scene.
Apart from dominating the scene, Brock Lesnar also digested losses against Roman Reigns, twice and Seth Rollins, once at Summerslam to act like a veteran. Last year, he lost to Reigns for the second time but it was his antics with a tractor that left everyone stunned. With that, the 10-time champion also competed in the most number of Summerslam main events to ink his name, forever in the summer spectacle’s history.
