The absence of Brock Lesnar has affected the WWE in big ways. The bonafide main eventer is absent from the programming for more than a year and it’s hard to find someone who can match up to his capability. The legitimate Superstar in the history of WWE has accomplished a lot in the company and fans can’t help but wonder when he could make his WWE return.
There have been a number of speculations on Brock Lesnar’s return on WWE TV but none of those ever materialized amid the COVID-19 pandemic. A rematch against Drew McIntyre was touted for WrestleMania 37, earlier this year while there was also a claim that perhaps The Beast Incarnate could involve in a rematch against long-time rival, Roman Reigns.
Brock Lesnar Was Unhappy With His Wrestlemania 20 Paycheck
While speaking to DAZN, Paul Heyman was asked who’d he pick to win if a future match happens between his current client Roman Reigns, and former client Brock Lesnar. Heyman then revealed that Lesnar has no intention to return to the WWE and face WWE’s Tribal Chief in a rematch. If he would’ve wanted this then this could have already happened.
“If Brock Lesnar were to return, if is a hypothetical. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do. How you can be cognizant of the fact that Brock Lesnar does not want to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship, or at least not yet, is because he hasn’t done it. Because if Brock Lesnar wanted to [do] it, it would have happened already. And it hasn’t happened already because he doesn’t want to,” Paul Heyman affirmed.

Brock Lesnar won’t return to UFC
We haven’t seen the longest-reigning Universal Champion in WWE’s history since WrestleMania 36 where he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre. His contract with the WWE reportedly ran out on that night which hasn’t been renewed since then. At this point, it’s unknown whether he wants to make a return to WWE or not.
That being said, some speculations claimed that perhaps WWE’s rival brand AEW or MMA promotion UFC could sign him. But during an interview with Ariel Helwani last month, Paul Heyman confirmed that while the ex the behemoth name is no longer under contract with WWE, he will most likely never return to the sport of MMA (UFC) ever again. The UFC 200 bout against Mark Hunt would always be known as his last.
