As per the recent reports, Brock Lesnar’s WWE return is approaching closer given the fans are coming back to the live events from July. There are people within WWE who want to save this return for a big match. It is pretty much assumable that Bobby Lashley should be his target on Raw as people want to see this match. But WWE may have some different plans for him.

Reports claim that Brock Lesnar may end up having another rematch against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. The Conqueror has been rumored to return to WWE for the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view which is yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, he was moved to active status on WWE’s current roster listing.

It was recently reported that Brock Lesnar was mentioned in early discussions for potential SummerSlam plans as the company wants to do something with him at the biggest party of the summer. There have been speculations on him possibly challenging WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, as Lashley himself has been pushing for this match for the past several years.

In a new update, it has been noted that Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley was not planned for SummerSlam as of last week, according to Dave Meltzer on the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast. WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon will himself be involved in bringing the former champion back, and he will give a green signal if the Lashley match has to happen. But as of last week, according to this new report, Lesnar had not received the call to return to Summerslam 2021.

Furthermore, the report mentioned that there are forces within WWE that don’t want to bring Brock Lesnar back until Roman Reigns is ready to feud with him. There’s no word on when that fight may go down this match is SummerSlam or WrestleMania-level match and the two have competed against each other on both those events in the past and on multiple occasions.

As reported earlier, Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE since dropping the WWE Title to Drew McIntyre in the main event of WrestleMania 36 Night Two in 2020. His WWE contract reportedly expired last August as he failed to reach an agreement with the company. Lesnar’s merchandise was thereby removed from WWE Shop, but he remains a member of the RAW roster.
