Candice Michelle is one of those Divas from the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression Era who symbolized WWE’s concept of hosing lingerie matches on TV. One of those was Bra & Panties matches where a female star had to leave her opponent wearing only Bra & Panties to win a match. The above-mentioned Diva has featured in tons of such matches throughout her career.
However, these kinds of matches were taken down from WWE TV as the company turned their TV to PG programming in mid-2008. Most notably, Candice Michelle competed in the final Bra & Panties match in WWE history, 16 Years ago, on the March 19th, 2007 episode of Raw.
It was kind of a Total Divas storyline featuring The Bellas and AJ Lee who blasted each other for their way of seeing the industry. Before the match began, Melina said that she didn’t pose in Playboy because that was beneath her level. She also claimed that Playboy begged her, but she turned down the offer.

Candice Michelle then fired back at her bitter rival by stating the following,
“From what I hear, you don’t turn much of anything down. And you’ve been beneath every single guy in that locker room.”
Soon after this, Candice Michelle proceeded to throw a challenge to Melina for the Bra & Panties Match that went down, right there. The then women’s champion Melina went on to win that non-title match in quick time. Ashley Massaro then came out to the ring and exposed Melina for good in her lingerie to end the segment.

Candice Michelle became a champion before leaving WWE
Candice Michelle started her career in the WWE part of the WWE Diva Search contest in 2004. She then went on to have an on-screen romance angle with Mr. McMahon. Despite being considered a model, she proved her talent as a wrestler by defeating Melina to capture her first WWE Women’s Championship at Vengeance in 2007.
The first Diva Search contestant to win a women’s title eventually ended her tenure in WWE in June 2009 as she was released from her contract. Candice Michelle recently spoke in an interview with Steve Fall on Wrestling News YouTube Channel to mention that she’s interested in coming back to WWE, especially for the Women’s Royal Rumble match,
“I wish I was going. Every year people are like, ‘How come you’re not there? Why are you not in this?’ One year they mentioned I was there but never called me. It just hasn’t been my time. I’m open for it. I’m looking forward to the year when it’s my time and I don’t think this year is my time either, but you never know. WWE likes to call you like the day before and say, ‘By the way, can you come down tomorrow?’”
