Coming from the glamour industry, Candice Michelle went on to become a former WWE Women’s Champion. She was also one of the mainstays of the women’s division during the mid-2000s. Her charm and glam quotient made her one of the most popular superstars of her time. A top name during her heyday hasn’t been seen much in public since leaving the WWE there is a good reason for that.

For those who don’t know, Candice Michelle was largely involved in feuds with other top female names in the WWE in her prime after becoming the first-ever WWE Women’s Champion from the Diva Search genre. Having feuds against the likes of Victoria, Melina, and Mickie James wasn’t still enough to keep her in the wrestling circuit for a long time.

While speaking to WrestlingNews.co, Candice Michelle revealed the reason for her absence from WWE television. She admittedly wanted to take a step back from her professional life to focus on her personal life. Bringing up three children could be seen as the reason for not being that much active on social media as other former wrestlers.

Candice Michelle feels a disconnection from her fanbase

Due to this, Candice Michelle feels a sense of disconnection from her fans and misses them, wondering about her former colleagues’ current lives and appearance. Over the years, she has undergone several transitions in looks and health issues. But the good thing is that she hopes to be back in the limelight at a certain point.

“I think that I’ve really taken such a step back in my personal life. You know, I’ve had three kids. I haven’t been present on social media like a lot of the other former wrestlers. I really dived into my personal life and raising these children and now just going into where my career is going next, and that hasn’t really been live on social media so much,” Candice Michelle explained.

“So I think maybe, just missing that connection of them. Who are you now? What are you doing now? What do you look like now? In essence, just me kind of getting back into that present world. I’ve gone through many transitions recently and had some health issues lately and so it’s actually good that it’s not my time right now, but I’m coming out of that so maybe next year at this time when it happens.”

After spending years in the modeling and acting circuit, Candice Michelle was hired by WWE in 2004 as a participant in WWE Diva Search. While with the WWE, she posed for a cover in the April 2006 issue of Playboy. Then at Vengeance in 2007, she defeated Melina to win her first WWE Women’s Championship and became the first former Diva Search contestant to win a WWE title.
