Carmella worked hard for more than seven years to make a name for herself on the WWE roster that’s filled with talents. After going through so many changes in her characteristics, she’s currently settled in on Raw with a mix of her FABULOUS and “Mella is Money” gimmick. Her dedication to the business earned her multiple accolades in this industry.
Becoming the only two-time women’s Money in the Bank match winner and a former Smackdown Women’s Champion certainly tops the list. Carmella is now gearing up for an opportunity to go in a marquee match at Wrestlemania 39 if she can survive five other women superstars inside the Elimination Chamber structure.

Coming off a long injury hiatus, Carmella qualified for the Women’s Elimination Chamber 2023 matchup, right away. The WWE star has now spoken out about returning from that injury which lasted for the longest in her career. Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, The princess of Staten Island admitted that she was nervous before returning to the ring after her big return following the longest hiatus.
Carmella had never been out for such a long time
“This is the longest I’ve ever been out,” Carmella said. “I think the longest before was maybe two months, three months. I’ve never been out, never been injured in my 10 years with WWE. So, this is my first time away. So, I’m not gonna lie, I was a little worried. I was nervous coming back, ‘Are people gonna remember me? Am I gonna be the same in the ring? Prior to showing up on the post-Royal Rumble episode of Monday Night Raw, Carmella had been out of action since August 2022, She then returned to in-ring action on the February 6 episode of WWE Raw where she defeated Piper Niven, Candice LeRae, and “Michin” Mia Yim to earn the final spot in the women’s Elimination Chamber match.
Carmella also reflected her thoughts on her new ring attire which paid homage to her old leopard-printed gear, while it’s also representing her current character. This current attire admittedly can’t top any of her old outfits but she does have a plan at bringing back the old one-piece attire in the near future. A special gear is also reserved for the Elimination Chamber premium live event and fans had to wait until then to have a glimpse of it.
