Charlotte Flair has established her legacy as one of the greatest female talents in the WWE of this or any other generation. Her constant desire to elevate herself encountered a major setback after she suffered a devastating knee injury on the December 8, 2023 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. With that, WWE also lost one major star power from the Wrestlemania card.
As confirmed in follow-up reports after the injury, Charlotte Flair was dealing with not one but multiple ruptures around her knee which led to surgery. This was supposed to keep her out of action until late 2024 but she is determined to make a quicker comeback and efforts have also been noticed.

Soon after the successful surgery was performed on her left leg, Charlotte Flair wasted no time going into the rehabilitation process. Weeks after weeks, we have seen her recovery stories in gym sessions which only showcased a huge level of dedication and determination. Within just two weeks after her surgery, she was back in the gym, and now she has also started sprinting to increase strength in her leg.
The 14-time WWE Women’s World Champion took to her X to drop a video of herself sprinting at the WWE Performance Center while sporting a knee brace. She could be running smoothly which indicates that she is very much ahead on her road to recovery.

Charlotte Flair to appear at WWE Wrestlemania 40 weekend
After staying away from the WWE Universe, Charlotte Flair will make an appearance during the Wrestlemania weekend. It won’t be happening in an in-ring capacity but rather in a special event where she will be meeting the fans gathered for the Show of Shows in April. The top WWE Star has officially been announced as a special guest for the WWE World event scheduled for Saturday, April 6th. She will join Cody Rhodes and the WWE world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins in that event.
On the above-mentioned December 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, Charlotte Flair stepped into the ring against Asuka in a highly anticipated singles contest. With Damage CTRL members present at ringside, the battle was unfair and The Genetically Superior Athlete took a nasty fall off the top rope to pick up the fatal injury and thereby get sidelined.
