ToggleRumors around Chelsea Green’s WWE return are all over the internet and we’ve now received some big updates regarding her upcoming return. According to the report of Fightful Select, she is signed to WWE and it “has been for quite some time” but the return could have been pushed back due to the company’s plans around her.
Fightful stated that they’ve asked her to confirm the re-hire but those have not been confirmed due to “obvious reasons.” This is also the reason The Hot Mess shut down her Onlyfans and merchandise on Major Pod.
Cordona could also be on his way back to WWE
Her husband, Matt Cardona, the current NWA and Impact Wrestling star is not under contract with WWE but since his wife is back with the WWE, it could only be a matter of time before the former Zack Ryder may also end up signing a contract.
Chelsea Green parted ways with the WWE more than two years ago but that didn’t stop her from achieving milestones in professional wrestling. As reported earlier, she explored various opportunities coming her way since her departure. She has been a regular worker in Impact Wrestling as well as the ROH promotion while NWA Empowerrr and GCW stints were also reserved for her.
Chelsea Green was upset about WWE scrapping an angle with Mickie James
Previously speaking on the Oral Sessions Podcast with Renee Paquette, Chelsea Green talked about how she was underutilized in the WWE and thereby lost her confidence in WWE but now that she worked with these brands, she gained her mojo back. Just before her release from the company, she wanted to work in an interesting angle with Mickie James which was rejected by the WWE creative team.
WWE scrapped superfan angle for Green
As per Chelsea Green’s pitch, she wanted to become a super-fan of veteran female superstar Mickie James to recreate a story between the latter and Trish Stratus. Mickie used to be an addict of Trish during her entry into the WWE. That gimmick and feud against Stratus eventually helped her to solidify her own legacy in the WWE, down the road.
Now that Chelsea Green would be back on board with the company, she can genuinely expect to have some interesting angles under Triple H’s creative leadership but first and foremost, she’d love to have a promising re-debut on TV.
