The moment finally came at the bygone PPV night to meet the expectation of the hype-up of the segment.
Paul Wight fka Big Show appeared during Revolution where he further teased this signing. The Giant emphasized the fact that nobody on the AEW roster can outwork their new signing. He was also the one to drop a hint of the big signing during this past Wednesday night.

After the long wait, the limited audience in Daily’s Place were standing as Christian Cage made his way to the ring. He was there at Revolution PPV to sign a multi-year AEW contract. Plus, he can expect to be a regular member of the programming on Wednesday night which he wasn’t promised at WWE, perhaps.

Christian and WWE’s contract fell through
Christian didn’t say a word during his appearance but rather just signed on the paper to confirm a multi-year deal with the company. This is to mention that Captain Charisma made his in-ring return at Royal Rumble 2021, earlier this year. Reports did claim that he signed a WWE contract, afterward which isn’t the case.
Wrestling Inc’s Raj Giri recently provided an update that Christian was apparently under contract with FOX and not WWE. Before AEW Revolution, he mentioned that the earlier signing report with WWE wasn’t true,
“My apologies everyone, I had tweeted earlier this week that Christian was “confirmed” signed with WWE. Christian was apparently under contract with FOX Sports and not WWE, and that deal may be up as well. I apologize for the error.”
It was further mentioned that his deal with FOX might be over as well at this point in time as the Backstage show doesn’t take place, anymore. Prior to Revolution, Christian was actually a free agent whose talks with WWE ‘fell through.’
