WWE News: Three Huge Title Matches Added to Clash Of Champions PPV
Dec 2, 2017 at 2:16 PM
Clash of Champions will be the last PPV event of the year 2017. It is going to be a Smackdown-exclusive PPV on December 17th. The TD Gardena arena in Boston, Massachusetts will be hosting this annual show in WWE calendar where we will see the WWE Championship on the line in the main event of the PPV.
As confirmed earlier, AJ Styles will defend the most prestigious title present in the WWE today against the former champion, Jinder Mahal. The latter one will be invoking his rematch clause for the title on the PPV show to become a two-time WWE Champion. With just a few days away from the show, we expected the match card for the show to get filled up, real quick.
WWE.com has come up with the announcement that three more title matches will take place on the show. According to the updates given by the Smackdown commentator, Byron Saxton, these will be the title matches:
Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler vs Bobby Roode (Triple threat WWE United States Championship match)
Charlotte Flair vs Natalya (WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship match)
The Usos vs The New Day vs Shelton Benjamin-Chad Gable (Triple threat WWE Smackdown tag team championship match)

With that being said, all the four titles present on the Smackdown Live brand will now be on the line at the last PPV event of the year. Also, the match card is going to be a packed one with a couple of more matches to be added to it.
There’s an interesting twist stored in the US Championship picture, as it now contains Dolph Ziggler into the mix. Previously, we have thought Bobby Roode is going to be the number one contender for the title. But, the show-off needed to get inserted into a storyline after going over in the angle against Roode.
Also, Natalya will get another opportunity against the Queen of the brand to regain her title, as the stretched rivalry between these continues. The New Day will be getting yet another shot to the tag team titles to make the match interesting since the earlier contenders, Benjamin-Gable does not have any momentums by their side.
