WWE kicked things off for Crown Jewel 2022 in a big way as the match lineup stood Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley. A major portion of the pro-wrestling fandom was more than interested to see the showdown go down in a singles capacity but the dull finish disappointed them. Additionally, the characteristics of the two WWE superstars have also reportedly changed.
Bobby Lashley went into the match against Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2022 as a babyface figure but things changed at the show. Due to the controversial finish of the match, the fans as well as Lashley were so shocked that he wasn’t sure what to do. As a result, he launched an attack on The Beast Incarnate to possibly turn into a heel, although nothing is confirmed.

Bobby Lashley irate after loss at Crown Jewel 2022
Replying to it, Lashley explained that at Crown Jewel 2022, he was supposed to win. But now after the loss, he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, now. Check out his comments from the interview,
“Why did I attack him? Cause I was ready to go to war. I was ready to die out there. There is not a tomorrow for me. There is not a day after tomorrow. There is a now. That was the biggest challenge that I had, was beating Brock. That’s what people had been talking about for years and I went out there and failed.
That’s what you wanna hear? That’s what you want me to tell you? I failed. That’s what happened, I failed. So back to the drawing board, or what? Quit? Give up? What do I do? That was the task. That was the match that I was supposed to win. And then now what?”
During the finishing sequence of Lesnar vs. Lashley at Crown Jewel 2022, Lashley picked up Lesnar on his shoulders and sent him face-first into the steel ring post. Lashley hit a spinebuster on Brock in the ring and then applied the Hurt Lock. Lesnar used the ring ropes to push back and he fell on top of Lashley to get the surprise pinfall win.
Before Crown Jewel 2022, Lashley and Lesnar battled at Royal Rumble in January, where Lashley beat Lesnar for the WWE Title. Three weeks later, Lashley lost the title at the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia in February but he was taken out of the match due to a kayfabe shoulder injury. The saga between these two top superstars is likely to continue on Raw.
