WWE Smackdown: The Usos vs. The New Day set with the highest stakes

This Friday Night on WWE Smackdown, if The Usos manage to pull off the win over The New Day then they will become the longest-reigning WWE Tag Team Champions ever in the history of the company. Thus, they will also break The New Day’s previous record with the same achievement.

Back in December 2016, The New Day, Woods and Kofi alongside Big E set the record of becoming the longest WWE Tag Team Champions by holding the belts for 483 days. They started with the WWE Tag Team Championship win but at that time of the record, they were holding the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships.

The Usos then became the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions on July 18, 2021, after they defeated The Mysterios at Money in the Bank PLE. Jey and Jimmy then became the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions by defeating the former Raw Tag Team Champions Randy Orton and Matt Riddle – Team RK-Bro in a Winners Take All Title Unification Match on the May 20 episode of Smackdown. Now they’ll go through one last test to solidify themselves as the greatest tag team of all time.
