It appears that Crown Jewel 2023 will be the first of the two premium live events scheduled on WWE programming in November. Later that month, the annual Survivor Series event will be returning but first WWE will wrap up its international schedule for this year by hosting the second last Peacock/WWE Network Specials.

As per the reports from PWInsider, Crown Jewel 2023 will be held on Saturday, November 4 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As of this writing, the venue for hosting the PLE isn’t clear. The 2022 and 2018 editions of the Saudi PLE were held at King Saud University Stadium (formerly known as Mrsool Park) while the King Fahd International Stadium and Mohammed Abdu Arena also hosted the event in 2019 and 2021.

Crown Jewel 2023 will fall under a ten-year agreement between the WWE and Saudi Arabia’s General Sports Authority via which the WWE is obliged to hold two yearly major events in the kingdom. This current relationship between WWE and Saudi officials has changed since their initial agreement that began in 2018.

WWE’s stock price saw a dip, last week after Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) purchased a minority stake in the Professional Fighters League (PFL) which is a potential competitor to the UFC, a brand that will soon be merged with WWE under the ownership of Endeavor TKO Group Holdings corporate league. If earlier reports are to be believed then Saudi PIF was also interested in purchasing WWE Endeavor took it over in April.

As of this writing, there’s no update on whether WWE’s deal with Saudis will change in the future. For the time being, it continues with Crown Jewel 2023 waiting within a couple of months. Last year, this show was main-evented by Roman Reigns who successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Logan Paul.
