Apparently, Daniel Bryan had a tough time working on the aforementioned TV show known as Total Bellas. The show was centered on the Bella Twins. Being married to Brie, the former WWE Champion had to be a part of the show but he absolutely hated it.

Daniel Bryan spoke about his true feelings regarding Total Bellas during a conversation with Renee Paquette of The Sessions. He said that he hates all of that reality TV. Plus, he also went ahead to criticize it for how it’s mostly scripted although the show-makers never promoted it that way,

“[I hate] all of it. You’re constantly changing clothes on the same day to go film something and pretend it’s a different day.”

Daniel Bryan shared a bitter memory from 2016

After filming the first season of Total Bellas, Daniel Bryan was forced to step away from in-ring competition in 2016 due to a series of neck concussions. At that point, he and Brie Bella would move into the home of Brie’s sister Nikki Bella and her then-partner John Cena after the latter would also suffer a severe neck injury for which she needed surgery.

“Once I did the speech and I stepped away, I wasn’t around wrestling. So I started going, ‘Oh God. We have to film Total Bellas.’ Okay, that’s the part I forgot. So I have to give this retirement speech and, then, I have to go live in John Cena’s house,” Daniel Bryan remembered those days from 2016. (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

The hatred of Daniel Bryan toward Total Bellas isn’t something new and that’s one of the reasons why The Bella Twins decided not to renew the reality TV show after season six went off the air. Both the Bellas also become new mothers in the summer of 2020 and they themselves wanted privacy for their newborn babies, as well.
