Touted as one of the bright talents recruited on the NXT roster, Deonna Purrazzo hoped to make it big in the WWE. Even after WWE had a debacle with her NXT run, many believed that the company was perhaps retaining her for a future strong main roster run but she was released by WWE back on April 15th, 2020 due to budget cuts and that appeared to be the best things that she could have hoped.
Within a few days, Deonna Purrazzo jumped ship to the Impact Wrestling roster to be a key figure on the Knockouts roster. By winning the championship, twice that year, she managed to become the Superstar of the Year. Moving on, she won the ROH Women’s World Championship as well as the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship while she also hoped to have a crossover to AEW TV and that hope of hers also became true for once.

Unlike her contemporary figures from professional wrestling, Deonna Purrazzo possesses a healthy physique which she often puts on display on social media. Most of those garner attention for her beauty quotient while there are body-shamers who find more reasons to troll her for being a thick person.

Deonna Purrazzo doesn’t want to be judged by the way she’s born
In recent times, Deonna Purrazzo had to deal with such fat-shaming and she decided to open up on the issue during a conversation with the Daily Star. Mentioning that she was born this way, the two-time Knockouts Champion noted that a wrestler should be credited for moving ticket sales and her performance but not by how she looks,
“I am a very thick skinned tough human being – it’s how I grew up. The professional wrestling fan base, unfortunately, there’s just this dark hole, that they want to troll you and they want to tell you you’re fat and tell you that you don’t deserve to be here and tell you everything that they think is wrong with you.”
Deonna Purrazzo also stated that they don’t want to be hit back by the targets but in case that happens then those body-shamers often admit that they were just playing around,
“They don’t want to be told to shut up, and they don’t want to be told like ‘I don’t give a f**k you have to say’, because then when you do say that, then it’s like the vast majority then message you and are like ‘I’m so sorry, I was just playing around’.”

After spending her time with the ROH promotion from 2015-18, Deonna Purrazzo literally sat backstage in the WWE for two years. After getting released by the WWE, she really got a chance to shine in Impact to prove herself as one of the top female professional wrestlers of this generation.
