After working around the indie scenes, Deonna Purrazzo wanted to make a name for herself as a WWE NXT Superstar. But after years of non-usage, she was fired from the company back on April 15th, 2020, due to budget cuts. That move appeared to be a blessing as it didn’t take her a long time to find success, soon after.
Within a couple of months, not only did Deonna Purrazzo become a mainstay name on Impact Wrestling but also the Knockouts Champion of the women’s division. Since then, she has also won the ROH Reina de Reinas Championship as well as the ROH Women’s Division Championship to be a force to be reckoned with.

For those who don’t know, fans have been clamoring to witness a dream match between AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker and Deonna Purrazzo. With AEW’s latest position, that match could certainly become a reality. Besides these two real-life besties are also very much keen on working with each other inside the squared circle.
While speaking on Vickie Guerrero’s Excuse Me! podcast, Impact Wrestling’s EVP Scott D’Amore previously claimed that he was cornered by Britt Baker as she openly demanded a match against the 2-time Impact Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo.
“I got cornered by Britt Baker down in Jacksonville a few weeks ago and she’s like, ‘When do I get Deonna?’ I said, “Hey, Britt oh, come on. We’ve always said we have an open-door policy and we’re open to doing it. you know the deal in wrestling sometimes there’s a lot of hurdles to jump through but I think the relationship with AEW has been fantastic.” (quotes courtesy Fightful)
