Deonna Purrazzo is having the time of her life since after getting released by the WWE, back in early 2020. The cut-off under the name of a budget-cut owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, appeared to be a blessing in disguise in her career as she went on to become the top-most female superstar of Impact Wrestling.
While enjoying two runs with the Impact Knockout Title, Deonna Purrazzo captured the AAA Reina de Reinas title, a few months ago. Then the reigning champion made a surprise appearance at ROH Final Battle, this past weekend to confirm another crossover match in her career.

As seen on the show, she appeared after Rok-C retained her ROH Women’s World Championship against Willow. Deonna Purrazzo said that she wants to hold ROH Women’s World Title and it should happen in a Winner Takes All match after she wins (her words) the Impact Knockouts Championship from Mickie James.
Deonna Purrazzo wants more crossover experiences
The two-time champ lost the Knockouts title to Mickie James at Impact Bound for Glory in November. Now, she is scheduled to challenge for Mickie James’ Knockouts Championship at Hard To Kill PPV event in a rematch.
Deonna Purrazzo is good friends with AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker and another Impact female talent in Chelsea Green. In fact, the trio is celebrating through the month of December while gearing up for Chelsea’s upcoming marriage with Matt Cordona, former WWE Superstar Zack Ryder.

Being so close to these two, Deonna Purrazzo is willing to have more crossover matches with AEW and more promtions. While speaking to Fightful, the former NXT Superstar was seemingly disappointed over the fact that the female superstars of Impact and AEW weren’t allowed to have crossover matches.
“I think I was a little disappointed because for me, there’s a ton of dream matches with people I haven’t been in the ring with for years or have never been in the ring with prior. But, I think Impact was the hub of all of the crossover, and we got to do a lot of stuff with NWA. Obviously, my match with Melina was one of the headliners of Empowerrr. As disappointing as it was, I try to look at the positive now instead of harping on what could have been. Let’s look at what was.” (quotes courtesy Wrestling News)
