Deonna Purrazzo has long been enjoying her time as a dual champion. Now she has found a suitable opponent in the form of a former Knockouts Champion for the next PPV event waiting for the promotion. Taya Valkyrie has returned to Impact Wrestling, this past week and booked herself for a big title match.
This past weekend’s Multiverse of Matches event at WrestleCon saw AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and ROH Women’s World Champion Deonna Purrazzo retain her AAA title by defeating Faby Apache in a Champ-Champ Challenge.

Deonna Purrazzo is a dual champion holding two promotions belts
Following a confrontation, Valkyrie has been booked against Deonna Purrazzo and she would be coming after the AAA Reina de Reinas Title. The match was confirmed for the Impact Rebellion pay-per-view on FITE TV, later this month. Purrazzo will also compete against Martinez for the Undisputed ROH Women’s World Title but there’s no update on when that match will take place.
Both Valkyrie and Deonna Purazzo have been superstars under the WWE NXT banner. Valkyrie spent more than three years with Impact until leaving in January 2021. Last year in February, she signed with the WWE NXT brand as Franky Monet, only to be released in November. She had the longest Knockouts World Title reign in Impact history which lasted for 377 days. Purrazzo has also been a two-time Knockouts Champion who dominated the division for the past couple of years.
