Deonna Purrazzo may not be having the Impact Knockouts Championship by her side but that does not take away the fact that she’s one of the bests to be offered in today’s professional wrestling. The multiple-time former champion in Impact Wrestling is gearing up for the Multiverse event planned by the promotion where she also expects to receive the best competition.
Impact Wrestling’s Multiverse United II event which is a cross-promotional show with New Japan Pro Wrestling is all set to go down on August 20. Ahead of the show, one of Impact’s gem talents, Deonna Purrazzo has decided to throw down the gauntlet to both NJPW and their sister promotion, World Wonder Ring Stardom.

The Former three-time Knockouts Champion issued a challenge via Twitter to anyone who can offer her the best competition in the ring, “August 20 at the 2300 Arena at Multiverse United II…New Japan, Stardom, send your best. Because your best still isn’t The Virtuosa.”

Deonna Purrazzo set for her second Multiverse appearance
Deonna Purrazzo’s challenge certainly hints that Stardom will be involved with Multiverse United II unlike the event’s first edition back in April. That show saw Miyu Yamashita from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling competing in a multi-woman tag team match also featuring Gisele Shaw, Masha Slamovich, and Purrazzo with the latter emerging victorious.
There’s no update on which superstar would eventually respond to the challenge laid down by Deonna Purrazzo. The only matches announced for Multiverse United II are Lio Rush and Trey Miguel taking on Mike Bailey and Hiromu Takahashi in tag action, and Hiroshi Tanahashi competing against Alex Shelley for the Impact World Championship.
Apart from heading into Multiverse for a big match, Deonna Purrazzo is also looking forward to getting back the Impact Knockouts Title. It was at Slammiversary 2023 PPV on July 15 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, that Trinity Fka Naomi in WWE defeated her to win her first championship since departing the WWE, last year. Now, the rematch between the two is set to happen at the upcoming Impact Emergence event on August 27.
Back in mid-April, Impact Wrestling held its Rebellion pay-per-view and in the main event of the same, former Knockouts World Champions Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace battled it out for the vacant championship belt. Purrazzo won the title for the third time during that match.
