One of the top picks for the WWE Raw roster during the bygone Draft Night Two was Drew McIntyre despite his current absence. This gave hope to his fans in the WWE that perhaps the ongoing differences between him and WWE are finally over and he’s gearing up for a surprise return. However, going by the latest reports no improvement in relationship has been noticed between the two sides.
Drew McIntyre has been off WWE programming since Wrestlemania 39 and follow-up reports have informed that he got injured during this match. Plus, as previously reported, 2023 was going to be the final year of his current WWE contract as both sides were “far apart” on terms of a new deal that is yet to be renewed.

Following his insertion into the Draft pool and then then the getting drafted to the Raw brand, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter dropped an update about Drew McIntyre, this week. While he remains in an injured state, there’s not much bright news regarding a return to the company.

Drew McIntyre still remains in an injured state
It was affirmed in the report that Drew McIntyre will need a few more weeks until he’s ready to make a return to the ring on Monday nights. But since his current contract situation is still undecided, there’re “good chances” that he eventually finishes up with the WWE after one final stint with the company,
“McIntyre right now is working with the idea there’s a good chance he’s finishing up. He could do a big program for the title as a challenger and finally leave. McIntyre will be out of action for a few more weeks. Nothing has changed regarding his contract situation.”
At WWE WrestleMania 39 Sunday, Drew McIntyre was pinned by Gunther in the Intercontinental Championship match, which also involved Sheamus in a Triple Threat. After the match, the former WWE Champions waved goodbye to the fans on Twitter via emojis to indicate that his WWE stint could be over.
In fact, the future exit was the possible reason that he was pinned, clean in a match after a long time. Then soon after the Draft, Drew McIntyre was pulled out of Money In The Bank PLE 2023 in London, England which is yet another indication that things aren’t going well with the WWE.
