Drew McIntyre had openly admitted that The Undertaker was his mentor since the day he arrived in the WWE, several years ago. He eventually had to depart the company but then he came back and the role of mentor hasn’t changed for The Deadman. The legendary name has been playing the same role for so many youngsters in the company.

Drew McIntyre was happy to recall those stories during a recent WWE Warehouse tour when he ran across The Deadman’s collection of caskets. The Scottish Psychopath then walked into WWE TLC as the WWE Champion, this past Sunday. He eventually reached an important landmark in his WWE career through which he officially also surpassed his mentor.

As always, in case you’re wondering the number one spot belongs to Bruno Sammartino who has held that position locked down with 4,040 days of reign, a record that perhaps won’t be broken, ever. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre certainly has all the tools to become one of the greatest WWE Champions of the modern era.

While speaking to Mike Jones on Washington radio station DC101, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre discussed a variety of topics including a potential match with The Undertaker. He kept on insisting Mr. McMahon to bring him back for one more match which isn’t going to happen after the Final Farewell segment,

“In his Last Ride documentary on the WWE Network, he [The Undertaker] said he will always come when Vince McMahon calls. So, every single week, I prod Vince McMahon to ‘make the call, make the call!’”

Back in 2019, The Undertaker teamed up with Roman Reigns to take on the team of Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre that ended in a winning effort. During that match, Taker had a confrontation with Drew hinting a potential singles showdown but that didn’t happen.
